From 4 to 9 November, the villages of Anceu and Fornelos (Ponte Caldelas) hosted Beautiful Bees Galicia, a creative coliving experience led by Rural Hackers and co-funded by the European Union, bringing together 24 young women for a week of shared living, learning, and connection with the rural environment. The programme combined creativity workshops, group challenges, mentoring sessions, reflection circles, and the beloved “Receitas con Alma”, where each evening participants strengthened their bonds through cooking and storytelling.

The group worked on collective projects guided by facilitators Nacho and Ana, exploring communication, flexibility, and collaborative learning. The experience also included an artistic walk through Anceu and a final ritual that highlighted the network built throughout the week.

The coliving allowed participants to discover local initiatives such as the culinary proposals of Nandini and Juan Cit, a zentangle workshop with Eli, and meetings with key actors from the rural and entrepreneurial ecosystem, including Se Rial, Pangea NGO, and an international group of young women entrepreneurs. These encounters opened new perspectives on creativity, sustainability, and rural ways of living.

Participants’ testimonials reflect the strong emotional impact of the experience, which helped them reconnect with themselves, share personal journeys, and find a safe space for creativity and mutual support. Beautiful Bees Galicia leaves a lasting mark on both the community and the women who took part, consolidating itself as a reference for transformative and community-based experiences in rural Galicia.
